OEM refers to Original Equipment Manufacturer packaging. OEM is software that was intended to be sold as part of a bulk shipment but has been split up for resale (the text on the CD face might display this same information). OEM products are of the same quality and often carry the same manufacturer warranty as their retail counterparts but the packaging may differ. Tech support is usually not provided for OEM software; however, most information can be found in the electronic help files on the CD or on the manufacturer's web site.
