Order Acceptance Policy

The receipt of an e-mail confirmation does not constitute the acceptance of an order or as a confirmation of an offer to sell. We reserve the right to limit quantities and to decline the acceptance of any order for any reason. Prices and product availability are subject to change without notice.

Easy Return / Exchange Policy

Software Return Policy

We accept returns on unopened items within 30 days from the purchase date. The product must be returned with all manuals, license etc and in the original condition it was sent. Returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. Please contact us for return authorization and instructions. Returns that arrive to us without an RMA form will be held for 3 weeks before either disposed of, or returned to the sender. There are no returns or refunds on downloads.

We do not accept returns that have been opened. If your item is defective we will replace it. We offer a 30 day replacement guarantee from purchase date so if you receive a defective item, please contact us immediately. Software incompatibility does not constitute as a defective item so please thoroughly research products prior to completing the purchase. It is the customer's responsibility to verify system compatibility, licensing requirements and product needs before purchasing software products so make sure your computer meets the system requirements described in every item and note the packaging details, included in the item description as well. For technical questions regarding a product, please contact the software publisher. If necessary, you may contact us and we can direct you to the manufacturer.

In the unfortunate event that we ship the wrong item, we will provide a prepaid label for its return at no cost to you as long as the product has remained unopened. If the incorrect product has been opened we cannot accept the return.

Hardware Return Policy

30 Days replacement for defective items with no additional cost to you. We accept returns only on unopened items in re-sellable condition within 30 days from the purchase date. There will be a 15% restocking fee and shipping charges are not refundable on product returns. The product must be returned with all original contents. Please contact us for return authorization and instructions.

If we ship you the wrong item, please contact us immediately so we may rectify the situation.

Where is my Package?

Please make sure you have checked your 

You should have received a shipping confirmation email from us the day your order was shipped. If you have not received this email, please let us know and we will provide you with the shipment information.

If your order was shipped via the United Parcel Service, a tracking number is included in your shipping confirmation email. Please go to the UPS Package Tracking page.

If your order was shipped via the United States Postal Service's Priority Mail, you should receive it within 2-3 Business Days from date of shipment. If it has been longer than 5 days, please check with your local Post Office to see if they are holding the package for you. Many Postal workers do not feel comfortable leaving packages when no one is home and may have left a pick up notice in your mail box. Please note, there are no tracking numbers for Postal Service Packages, only delivery confirmations.

If your order was shipped via the United States Postal Service's Surface Mail or Media Mail, you should receive it within 12 Business Days from date of shipment.

Note: If you used the Free Shipping Option your package was shipped via USPS Surface Mail and may take up to 12 Business Days to arrive, based on the distance you are from the shipment origin of Northern California. If you selected Priority mail and paid less than $4.95, your parcel went via USPS First Class Mail which can take up to 4 business days to receive, based on the distance you are from the shipment origin of Northern California.

In the unlikely and unfortunate event your package has been lost, please be patient. Our number one priority is to ensure customer satisfaction. Please contact us if you feel your package is delayed or may be lost.

Product Packaging Details

Purplus is a unique discount software company. Our product list includes the most recent titles as well as older versions, vintage and special interest titles; all at a discounted price.

Please be sure to note the packaging details, included in the description, of all items we sell.

The following is a description of each packaging type:

  • Retail Box - Retail software including the box; exact same packaging and contents as found  in large retail stores.
  • Mail Order Packaging - All contents of retail box packaged for mail order shipment (packaging can vary from plain cardboard box, manila envelope or plastic sleeve)
  • Retail Jewel Case - Retail software encased in a plastic jewel case with color inserts. May or may not include a small users guide (usually electronic files or help menu in the CD)
  • CD and Manual - CD only is shipped with paper manual. CD may be shrinkwrapped in paper sleeve or jewel case along with the manual.     
  • CD Only / CD with keycode- CD only in paper sleeve (usually electronic files or help menu in the CD) / CD Only with keycode is the same but the authentic keycode is included with the software.
  • OEM - OEM refers to Original Equipment Manufacturer packaging. OEM is software that was intended to be sold as part of an bulk shipment but has been split up for resale (the text on the CD face might display this same information). The OEM products are of the same quality and often carry the same manufacturer warranty as their retail counterparts (the single-pack).  Unless otherwise noted OEM titles ship as CD Only.
  • DVD Case - CD or DVD is shipped in a DVD Case (similar to movie rental cases) and can contain paper inserts however may not contain a manual.
  • Color CD Card Pack - CD is encased in a tri- (or bi) fold full color cardboard sleeve. Does not contain paper manual, but does contain help files on CD.
  • Academic - Functionally identical to the Full Retail version. Usually comes with full retail box, manuals, and registration. Also called "Student / Teacher Edition," by some manufacturers. Possible limitations on upgrades.
  • Electronic Delivery - Delivery of software via download.
  • Promo - Promo versions are promotional edition copies of the software. All promo versions we sell are full versions that come with unique serial numbers and are not time or feature limited in any way.

Please research the software title you are interested in prior to completing the purchase. Make sure your computer meets the system requirements described in every item. It is the customer's responsibility to verify system capabilities, licensing requirements, and product needs before purchasing software products.
